Demonstrative pronouns are very useful in everyday conversations.
You don't even need to know how to say "crock pot" in Spanish, just point to and refer to it with este (if it's close to you), ese (if it's close to the one you are talking to) or aquel (if it's further away from both of you).
Btw, "olla de barro" would be the translation but "crock pot" is probably understood.
